"I hold on to You for dear life, and you hold me steady as a post..." Psalm 63

Momentary waterleak...

It's not often I spring a leak...who has the time?

But apparently I was due, and so on the couch in my parents livingroom, I had a brief blubbering session.  It lasted a few minutes, while mom sat by and lent me a tissue and a few words of encouragement.

I'm all better now....just needed to let it out.  It was one part pent-up frustration, one part discouragement and one part out-of-the-blue.

Sometimes the reality of day-to-day living just looks bleak.  But, usually it's not as bleak as I make it out to be.  I just forget for a few minutes.

Thanks for holding my hand, saying a prayer and sending me back on my way, mom!  The bootstraps are pulled up and I'm choosing JOY for the rest of today...tomorrow's a new day.
"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy."
(George Bernard Shaw)

We all get those kinds of days...it is so good to be able to share it and then get our focus right!

There is no perfect life - no life without struggle of some kind. But we have such a God who holds us and guides us through! He is the one who will point the way we should go and send us in the direction He has for us. I know for me, sometimes I am so busy trying to head a direction, that I miss that I am already where He wants me to be for now!

Sorry for the novel...I appreciate your honesty and your openness.
